Exhilarating landscape and land of Gods

Uttarakhand Toursim

Uttarakhand is exhilarating to the core. It is commonly referred to as Land of Gods (Dev Bhumi) because many Hindu temples and holy cities are found throughout the state. The natural beauty of Uttarakhand is breathtaking. Snow capped mountains, holy abodes of God, Pilgrim centers, perennial glaciers, cool hill stations, exotic national parks, gushing rivers and rapids, rugged hills and rollicking valleys – the endowments Uttarakhand is blessed with are many.

The hill stations namely Nainital, Mussoorie, Almora, Kausani, Bhimtal and Ranikhet and the Jim Corbett National Park are the more frequented destinations of Uttarakhand tourism.

Two of largest rivers of India, Ganges and Yamuna originate in the glaciers of Uttarakhand and are fed by myriad lakes, glacial melts and streams in the region. Gangothri and Yamunothri, the sources of both Ganges and Yamuna are prominent Hindu pilgrim centers.
